In all the madness, I negleted to take construction pictures. My apologies. This is the final product for my son's Winter portrait outfit. I made the vest from the Simplicity 1745 pattern from Halloween. The shirt and pants are from Simplicity 4760. This was an interesting project simply because making men's/boy's clothing always through me a bit. Construction a pair of men's slacks and a pair of women's slacks are two very different processes!
Hello All! I am starting this blog to kind of document my triumphs and failures as I get into the world of seamstressing and cosplay. I've been sewing since I was 8 years old. I started out hand sewing clothes for my dolls from scraps of old clothes. I've been making clothing on and off since. I recently decided to seriously pursue harder clothing and accessories. I do make and sell custom pieces, but that's not what this blog is for. Message me or go to my site for more information.

Fancy!
Bring on the cold! I finished my jacket today after some confusion with the lining,(my fault for taking marking shortcuts) I'm happy with the turn out.

Ohhh the POP!
I'm doing my jacket before anything else because, well it's cold and I don't like wearing my work jacket outside of work. I'm using a pattern for a flared peacoat that I've had my eye on for a few years (Simplicity D0550).
The best part about it is, I can chose my own colors! I went with a black corduroy with a branded paisley print. And just got a bit of flair, a purple satin for the lining, and rhinestone toggle buttons.
