Early Undergarments

For the adult dress, I'm making another chemise, bloomers and underbust corset using the same pattern from the previous post. On another note, I now know why corsets cost so much! This is by far the most complicated piece I've ever made!

Came together quickly!

Surprisingly, the shift only took a day! This is why I love Simplicity's patterns. They are usually really easy to follow!  The hoops were store bought.

RenFaire Time!

This is the big one! I'm going to have to put the burn in this one. Three Elizabethan outfits in one month!!!

I got this!

First up, undergarments. I'm making a shift for my daughter and the corset shift and bloomers for myself. Unfortunately, there's a metric ton of gathering involved so it's a bit of a pain.  The pattern I'm using is Simplicity 2890 from the Museum Curator Collection.

After about a bazillion glue burns

I finally finished the Freddy Head. I also finished the rest of the body using (what feels like) all the yellow felt in the country.
